Ratan Naval Tata is commonly known as Ratan Tata, a man who has shown his very presence so deep, that each would-be entrepreneur sees him as a role model. He is admirably known not solely for his approaches and strategies of doing business, along with that receives praises for his righteous approaches of administering each business functioning, flawlessly.
It is very apparent to think that, Ratan Tata had an amazing and affluent life, the reason being, he took birth in a wealthy family. Although, the truth is, he has gone through at the age of 10 when his parents got divorced. In Indian those days, this was considered negative and the social status was questioned. He has a younger brother of 7 years as well. Although, the parents made time to meet the children this never bring them together as a family. This would certainly have its own adverse impacts. Lady Navajbai Tata, the grandmother of Ratan Tata, took care of him in Mumbai. She was a great influencer in Ratan Tata’s life as she told him about the positive impacts of disciplinary life, as she herself was a very disciplined person. Ratan Tata while giving an interview said that many of the leadership skills which he carries today have come from her and his upbringing. He is a graduate in architecture from Cornell University, New York and later he enrolled himself for a course in Advanced Management Program, in Harvard Business School in the Year 1975.
He started his career with an average profile in their family business. His profile was to work with the furnaces along with other administrative staff. Ratan Tata says it was quite a tough job, although it makes him learn humility and enhanced the consideration for his family business even more.
Ratan Tata has that determination that even if he got various rejections from his very own teammates, he never looks behind whatever obstacles came in his way.
Today he is the most well-known and honored industrialists in India and abroad, Ratan Nava, Tata is the Chairperson of the Tata Group and Tata Sons. At 73, Ratan Tata is the head of India’s biggest conglomerates which constitutes near about 100 enterprises with profits in totality USD 67 billion. Along with this, he chairs the major Tata organizations, such as Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Teleservices, Tata Consultancy services, Tata Chemicals, Tata Power and The Indian Hotels Company. Even after battling for many things, he has a kind heart towards his country and its people. He donates more than 65% of his earnings towards charity and always keen to help people and gets involved in the activity which is for the wellbeing of the country and its people.
The moral of the story is despite severe difficult situations- financially or when no one believes in your ideas- if you have faith on your own self and confidence in you, then the success will follow you for sure.
